I'm New

Welcome to Harbor City Church

New here? Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive this weekend.

What is a gathering like?

Harbor City Church exists to see every man, woman, and child in Charleston have repeated opportunities to see, hear, and respond to the gospel. Every week, you will find passionate and authentic worship, gospel-centered preaching, and a vibrant kids ministry. Whether you’ve been around church all of your life or this is your first time stepping foot in a church, we want to make your experience welcoming.

How is the teaching?

At Harbor City, you will find our preaching expository in nature and gospel-centered in content. We focus on simply exposing what the Bible says in each passage while keeping in mind that all passages connect to the overarching story of the whole Bible. In light of this, each sermon should reflect the sum of the biblical narrative—that we ought to love God when we see His great love for us. We see His love most clearly in the sacrificial death of Jesus. The Gospel is always the point, and Jesus is always the hero of every sermon.

What type of music do you sing?

At Harbor City, you will hear music at each and every gathering that is based on God’s Word and focused on God’s character. Our goal is that each and every person present at our worship services would leave with a sense of awe and wonder at what Jesus has done for us.

What about my kids?

At Harbor City, we want our kids to meet Jesus and make friends. Each week, your children will learn about Jesus and the Gospel as they study through the Bible and see God’s amazing love toward them. Through meaningful lessons, activities, and worship experiences, we believe every child can understand something about the gospel.

Finding your place starts here.

The Weekender is your first step and your next step in finding connection and community Harbor City Church. In one Friday evening and Saturday morning, you’ll learn who our church is, where you fit in it, and how to find your place in it all.
