The gospel isn’t the diving board, it’s the pool. Scripture is less like spiritual instruction and more like spiritual food. You’ve got to eat every day. Jesus commanded us to make disciples not just converts. We will not be a prayer movement that launches a church plant, but a church plant that launches a prayer movement. We aspire to reflect the diversity of our community and proclaim the diversity of the kingdom. Healthy things grow and growing things change. Discipleship is a path, not a buffet.
